After visiting several countries, we&#8217;d never been to Sweden. It would be an orientation vacation, or perhaps we could get used to living here. We were at the point where we were looking for a new challenge in life. A planned vacation of all the areas we wanted to visit. The northernmost place we wanted to visit was J\u00e4mtland. Vi \u00e4r Fred och Sonja fr\u00e5n Nederl\u00e4nderna, och sedan 2024 har vi bott i den vackra, lantliga byn Hammarstrand i Ragunda kommun (J\u00e4mtland) i Mellansverige.<br \/>Efter att ha drivit ett audiovisuellt f\u00f6retag i Nederl\u00e4nderna i 23 \u00e5r ville vi ge oss ut p\u00e5 ett nytt \u00e4ventyr. Vi s\u00f6kte mer utrymme och lugn och ro. Vi hade f\u00e5tt nog av det hektiska livet i Nederl\u00e4nderna. \u00c5r 2022 bes\u00f6kte vi Sverige f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen p\u00e5 campingen i Hammarstrand och blev omedelbart f\u00f6r\u00e4lskade i omr\u00e5det. Lugnet, rymden, den vackra naturen, de h\u00e4rliga vandringslederna och sev\u00e4rdheterna var avg\u00f6rande faktorer i v\u00e5rt beslut att s\u00e4lja v\u00e5rt hus i Nederl\u00e4nderna.<br \/>P\u00e5 v\u00e4g mot ett nytt \u00e4ventyr, p\u00e5 v\u00e4g mot att skriva en ny bok i v\u00e5ra liv, en ny utmaning.<br \/>We quickly found our place on the edge of the village. It feels good, and this is where we want to grow old. So what are we going to do in Sweden? We already knew: we are going to rent out a holiday home and offer fun activities. On our property stands a timber frame house from the 1980s, and in early 2025, we started renovating it. We have a Pippi Longstocking attitude: &#8220;I&#8217;ve never done it before, so I think I can do it.&#8221; We&#8217;re so proud. A few months later, a beautiful holiday home called Villa Ragunda was built.<\/p>\n<section>\n                                    <h2>\n                        Ber\u00e4ttelsen om Villa Ragunda                                            <\/h2>\n                                    <p>N\u00e4r vi kom till Sverige k\u00f6pte vi v\u00e5rt nuvarande hus efter tv\u00e5 m\u00e5nader. Till detta hus h\u00f6rde ocks\u00e5 en gammal stuga som vi byggde om till det som nu \u00e4r Villa Ragunda. Vi har n\u00e5gra foton fr\u00e5n renoveringsprocessen.<\/p>\n                                    <img decoding=\"async\"
