After visiting several countries, we&#8217;d never been to Sweden. It would be an orientation vacation, or perhaps we could get used to living here. We were at the point where we were looking for a new challenge in life. A planned vacation of all the areas we wanted to visit. The northernmost place we wanted to visit was J\u00e4mtland. Nous sommes Fred et Sonja, originaires des Pays-Bas, et nous vivons depuis 2024 dans le beau village rural de Hammarstrand, dans la municipalit\u00e9 de Ragunda (J\u00e4mtland), au centre de la Su\u00e8de.<br \/>Apr\u00e8s 23 ans de gestion d'une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 audiovisuelle aux Pays-Bas, nous voulions nous lancer dans une nouvelle aventure. Nous recherchions plus d'espace et de tranquillit\u00e9. Nous en avions fini avec le rythme de vie effr\u00e9n\u00e9 des Pays-Bas. En 2022, nous avons visit\u00e9 la Su\u00e8de pour la premi\u00e8re fois, au camping de Hammarstrand, et nous sommes imm\u00e9diatement tomb\u00e9s amoureux de la r\u00e9gion. Le calme, l'espace, la beaut\u00e9 de la nature, les sentiers de randonn\u00e9e et les sites touristiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 des facteurs d\u00e9cisifs dans notre d\u00e9cision de vendre notre maison aux Pays-Bas.<br \/>En route vers une nouvelle aventure, vers l'\u00e9criture d'un nouveau livre dans notre vie, un nouveau d\u00e9fi.<br \/>We quickly found our place on the edge of the village. It feels good, and this is where we want to grow old. So what are we going to do in Sweden? We already knew: we are going to rent out a holiday home and offer fun activities. On our property stands a timber frame house from the 1980s, and in early 2025, we started renovating it. We have a Pippi Longstocking attitude: &#8220;I&#8217;ve never done it before, so I think I can do it.&#8221; We&#8217;re so proud. A few months later, a beautiful holiday home called Villa Ragunda was built.<\/p>\n<section>\n                                    <h2>\n                        L'histoire de la Villa Ragunda                                            <\/h2>\n                                    <p>Lorsque nous sommes arriv\u00e9s en Su\u00e8de, nous avons achet\u00e9 notre maison actuelle au bout de deux mois. Cette maison comprenait \u00e9galement un vieux cottage que nous avons transform\u00e9 en ce qui est aujourd'hui la Villa Ragunda.
